FURLA PROGETTO ITALIA:

THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS THE FUTURE

Social and environmental responsibility unite in an innovative project

Furla Progetto Italia focuses on the Italian manufacturing heritage. A hub for creativity, production, research, experimentation and education in the heart of the Chianti area, at Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (Florence).

Conceived by Udine’s Geza studio, the winner of the American Architecture and of the Architizer A+Awards Prizes, it creates a new, innovative and harmonious relationship between industrial architecture and nature.

Furla Progetto Italia has been developed with a holistic approach, aimed at minimizing the impact of the industrial activities on the area. A strategy that pursues environmental protection and the supply of energy from renewable sources, thanks to the use of a photovoltaic system, thermal solar panels and LED lights for energy saving. The architectural complex is also equipped with a system that makes rainwater reusable for irrigation of the garden and all the green areas present.

THE FURLA ACADEMY

Manufacturing know-how and tradition handed down to young talented artisans

The Academy will be an important part of Progetto Italia. A training program that is aimed at young people with the purpose of transmitting the specialist craft skills in order to integrate them into Furla's infrastructure within the production chain.
